How far ahead should I book?
Six to eight weeks is comfortable for a brand or packaging project; the studio notice at the top of this page always shows the next genuinely open slots. If you are working back from a print deadline, tell me that date first — it decides whether the scope is realistic at all.
What if my packaging structure isn't decided yet?
That is a better starting point than a locked one. Structure affects everything from print method to how much copy the panel can carry, so I would rather help choose it than design around a decision made for the wrong reason. Bring samples or a shortlist and we work through it in the groundwork stage.
What do you need from me before we start?
Three things: your ingredient and compliance copy in final form, any printer specifications or templates you already hold, and one named person who can approve work. Missing compliance copy is the single most common reason a project stalls at artwork.
How many rounds of revisions are included?
Two per stage, which covers the large majority of projects. Notes are gathered as one consolidated set rather than arriving piecemeal — it keeps the work coherent and the timeline honest. Further rounds are possible and are quoted before they begin, never added afterwards.
Do I get the editable files?
Yes. Handover includes packaged working files alongside the print-ready artwork, plus the fonts licensing information you will need to buy or transfer. If you later hire someone else, they can open everything and keep going without calling me.
Can you deal with my printer directly?
Usually the best outcome. With your introduction I will take their template, confirm bleed, varnish and colour handling before design begins, and answer their pre-press queries at the end. It removes the stage where a maker forwards technical questions they have no way to answer.
Do you take on single small jobs?
Occasionally — a one-off label variant or a market banner can fit between larger projects, and existing clients get first call on those gaps. If it is a single asset for a brand I have not worked on before, a retainer or a small fixed scope is usually the more sensible route.
